Food is life! Some people eat to live and some people live to eat! And I strongly believe that I belong to the latter category!
Delhi is the food capital of India and the love for food of Delhiites has given way to the setting up of a number of restaurants. These restaurants offer a range of Indian as well as international dishes. Some of the restaurants in saket even have the finest bars attached to them, offering a range of cocktails and divine liquor! But there is nothing like eating at a dhaba, and there are many reasons to why I always prefer dhaba over a glamorous five star restaurant, for having a good time with my friends.

· The homely ambiance: It almost feels like a home as soon as we enter a dhaba! We are least worried about how we look and we can flock in to a dhaba as comfortably as we enter into our houses! Further, we don’t have to worry about how we should use our knives and forks, and we can even sit cross legged on our chairs –just like we do at our homes!
· The natural surrounding: Dhabas have open area for dining. Imagine bumping into a dhaba on your way to Manali! Wouldn’t the fresh scenery of the hills refresh your senses and put you in the right mood?
· Perfect for chit chat: If you are the chatterbox of your group and that too a loud one, dhaba is where you should take your friends too! Nobody is going to ask you to turn your volume down and you can go on chatting with your friends for hours!
And not to forget the lassi competition, and the antakshari session that follows the food. Dhaba by Claridges, a restaurant though, is also set up in the Dhaba way offering rustic ambiance and lip smacking food!
